Quit Kodi, Return to EmulationStation, Play Video

I love splash videos. When I start retropie, it autoloads kodi and I have a Kodi-themed splash video. In my kodi set up I have a button "Games" that quits kodi and therefore loads emulationstation (or returns to it as its already loaded).
I'd like to play an emulationstation/retropie themed video whenever I click the Games button. So essentially, the button would quit kodi, play a video, return to emulationstation? Or something like that, not necessarily in that order.
I'm running retropie 4.2, kodi 17 and aeon nox 5(?).
