      Hi All
apologies if this is a duplicate I've tried my best to find what I'm looking for with no luck!

I'm building a hand held device with the Pi Zero W (new to all this so following a few tutorials online ) but I would like to install RetroPie on to Raspian (not dual boot).

The problem is that the instructions and files for installing on top another OS seem to be for the Pi3. I did try the install but it received the illegal instruction error.

Does anyone have an workaround for this or have i missed some files which can be download?

Thanks guys any ideas are appreciated

Retropie is built on raspian, just the desktop environment was removed to save on space. Use the Retropie image and install the raspian desktop environment from the optional packages.
