RetroPie Version Used (4.2):

USB Devices connected: 1xKeyboard 2x64GB ScanDisk Ultra fit.Hi Guys.
Hope you can help me with an odd issue. I have connected to my Pi 2 x 64GB Scan Disk Ultra USB keys. I have one that is storing MAME Roms and the other is storing NES , SNES etc. Now I can boot the Pi and everything shows up and is playable. Then almost all of the time if I reboot the Pi nothing shows up until either A) I reboot the Pi or B) I restart emulation station. Its almost as if USB0 is not always USB0 it can become USB1 and vice versa. Any ideas as its a little frustrating to keep rebooting or restarting.
Thanks in advance

@WallaceTech Are you hot-swapping the USB drives? I don't think that's supported. I believe the drive has to be inserted when you boot the Pi.

Hello.
Nope. Once the key is in I'm not taking it in and out. I have everything loaded that I want.

So, to clarify, you are using two USB drives simultaneously? I am thinking you may be right there that the Pi is not assigning things consistently between boots. I'm using one 256GB USB drive and I just leave it in there and have no problems.

This is correct. I have 2 x 64GB USB keys in the Pi. I guess I could but one bigger key but I `already had two 64GB kicking around. Would be nice to have this working though.

@WallaceTech
I think you have to find out what the UUID's are for both of your flash drives and put that information in your/etc/fstab
https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive/#configure-fstab-to-automatically-mount-usb-driveThe UUID is kinda like a "finger print" or "serial number" that is unique to every drive so you won't find a duplicate. This being said, you should be able to reboot and it will remember which is which and if, by change, you take the USB drives out and don't put them back in the exact same slots as before, it will still remember who is who.
