I am trying to get retro pie to work on my raspberry pi 2. I have followed the a-z set up guide, moved Roms into both Nes and snes folders. When I load the pi, and select a game, from either emulator or even the pre installed port games I get a screen that says launching press a to configure then it sends me back to the select a game (ron) screen. How do I get them to play. I have changed out my power cord and that doesn't seem to change it. I have tried to do the entire set up process again and didn't get it. I am looking for Nes and snes emulators. I also am just using my keyboard at this point as my controller so it's not a controller setup that's messing things up.

When I load any emulator Nes or snes
I have tried both pre installed Roms (doom, or installed Roms /snes/super Mario Cart.zip)

Ok I am going to be a noob here but, the game states it creates the file. Where should the tmp directory be? I use spc to log into the pie and then where do I look? I would assume under retropie/logs but I don't see it there

                      what's spc?

/tmp/runcommand.log is the entire file path. it's not in any subfolders.

Looks like it might have been a bad rom and I needed a better power cord... Replaced both and now it works.
