3d Printed gameboy Build
-
So here are some pics of my newly compelted build,
my first build was a 3d printed mini nes with a pi3, but nothing special .This is a 3d printed case, I actually did the build as an excuse to learn some new 3d design software, so the case is entirely my own work.
I got the buttons from a snes controller, it has a pi zero, with a 4 port usb hub, a power bank and a usb sound card with amp taken from a small burger speaker,
it works pretty well, it was tricky to get the buttons right, and I will adjust them when I 3d print the final version of the case.
I left access to the sd card on the side, volume control and hdmi on the top,
the power bank charging port is on the top, along with a usb that can be used as a powerbank.
The only thing it is lacking is a power control circuit to shut down before the battery runs out.
I may add one I may not.
and time will tell how well the buttons hold up. -

@backstander Nice!
-
I'd like to buy that.
-
@backstander thankyou, I tried working it out, but couldnt, im a dummy really.
-
@itsnitro I'd like to say it is ready for sale, but in reality I think it still needs some work, and Im not convinced that the people who mod these screens to work with 5v know if it works well or not, I am doing some testing to see if the screen will last or degrade.
I may well post revision 2 for sale somewhere.
I tested battery life out last night and it was easily 2 hours of play time. If I had a battery indicator in it and auto shut down then I would consider it a saleable product, right now its a bit niche.
