@pylades Sadly it's a one-off. Couldn't face doing all that wiring again for any amount of money. It was torture getting everything in there.

Nice bartop! I love Ghosts'n Goblins! :) Not too far of my own build design-wise, even though it's themed differently. Do you have some build pictures?

@glennlake Sorry if I wasn't clear. The screen is working, newer kernels support it. I just can't get it to work with the romtastick script. I was thinking something was up with the script as when you bring up the menu to choose the ILI9341 it doesn't seem to stick, thus why I looked at the json file to see if I could force it, and at least there it looked like it was set correctly.

I tried tonight with the quick install from adafruit and had the same result. I'm going to try again tomorrow with their image to see if the cause is anything that was upgraded when I updated packages during setup. Thanks for your help.

@itsnitro I'd like to say it is ready for sale, but in reality I think it still needs some work, and Im not convinced that the people who mod these screens to work with 5v know if it works well or not, I am doing some testing to see if the screen will last or degrade.

I may well post revision 2 for sale somewhere.

I tested battery life out last night and it was easily 2 hours of play time. If I had a battery indicator in it and auto shut down then I would consider it a saleable product, right now its a bit niche.

@christan nice build! I just recently decided to try my hand at making a bartop arcade. I'm using base schematics I found here https://retrokadebuild.wordpress.com/ and altering the sides and some other small features. Any advice that you might have for a newbie?
