so use the runcommand to switch galaga to lr-fba-libretro and enjoy crt shaders and no warnings. or don't! painful thread.
Just to verify, can you call FBA with the runcommand while in the lr-mame2003 emulator or is that more like what Arcade is for to utilize other emulators from a common interface?

Ah, ok, it seems like Arcade is a really cool concept and would like to try it out.

I really like the Arcade menu because it simplifies the interface. You don't have multiple MAME and FBA menus, and nobody that plays my cabinet cares (or understands) why one emulator works better than another for a given title--they just want to browse a complete list of games. Otherwise, it's somewhat like "interrupted nostalgia" scrolling through a list of titles and saying to me, "What about Tempest?" or, "Where's Street Fighter II?" and I have to explain how FBA runs Street Fighter better than MAME, yadda yadda yadda. And they say, "What's a MAME?"

Agreed! :) They just want to play "that-one-game-where...".
I would ditto an option for turning off warnings, etc. I think options are a win-win that allows users to tailor a cabinet to fit like a glove. I like when you can say "The devs thought of everything!" ;)

interesting! if you're interested in a solution to this i would recommend reporting the issue in the fba forums.
Well, at long last, something is amiss with trying to register on that FBA forum you mentioned. I tried multiple times to get that forum to send me confirmation so I could even report the cocktail controls issue. I never got a register message (not in spam etc.). Bummer. Hard to post an issue if their site won't let you register.
