      Hey guys,

      I was wondering if anyone could help me with the settings of the NES emulator, It cut off the left side of the screen, I think it has to do with the overscan, but don't know how to fix it. I've attached a photo of the screen.

      Someone posted a similar topic here.

        @bmaje1987 - The easiest fix I have found is to adjust your TV settings. As mentioned on https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Overscan

        Modern HDTVs will usually have a setting somewhere in the options that displays the entire 1080p image, including the areas that would be ignored as "overscan". For example:

        Samsung
        Menu > Picture > Screen Adjustment > Picture Size > change to "Screen Fit"

        Pioneer
        Look for "Dot by Dot".

        Also, on the exact same link, there is mention of editing the overscan settings in /boot/config.txt

        For me, I had to do both, but once done I no longer had this same issue.

          @bmaje1987 There's a method outlined in the Docs if you're using the default emulator, lr-fceumm: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Nintendo-Entertainment-System/#how-to-disable-crop-overscan-in-lr-fceumm

          Alternatively you can add the following line to the file /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg:

          video_crop_overscan = false

            @dudleydes

            Cheers. This seemed to have solved it.

            I could kick myself.
