@herb_fargus sigh I'm not really sure what could be the issue. I might need to call upon the all-great and powerful @Hex.

@lilbud it would be more practical if you forked the repo you're basing this on and then include your changes and upload the apks as releases. Hard to debug straight apks without the original source.

If you read the documentation it will answer 99% of your questions: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/

Also if you want a solution to your problems read this first: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

@lilbud Your code is a bit difficult to understand. I will mostly start by finding if nodebb has a json api. That would solve a lot of trouble and save lot of effort. Webview is not a good way to go.

Why am I seeing Google Analytics code in there?

Your answer is as good as mine. I pretty much found the repo, read the tutorial, and thought to myself "This doesn't look too difficult." It was

@itsnitro starts laughing The last time I ever used/owned an Apple device was 2012, I've stuck with Android ever since and I don't feel like selling a kidney to buy an Apple product.

if an iOS variant becomes available, I'll be happy to try it out.

What we need is some kind of API that can be used with IFTTT. Imagine: Blink the Hue lights if new notification (!)

@robertybob I'd probably buy phillips hue bulbs if this was possible.

Actually, Push Notifications are probably the one reason I wanted to make a RetroPie app. Better than getting 50k emails.

App to view the RetroPie forum. Android only. I have enabled push notifications for this app.

Would like someone to test this on an actual android device, I can't cause I don't have a device at the moment.

why don't you use Android emulator to test this app?

@whiteant It works on an Android Emulator, but apparently not on an actual device. Not sure why exactly.

@ladyslayer0160 According to those who tested it, it doesn't work for some reason.

Would you guys be interested in a read only app or you want the ability to write comments too?

For alpha version I was thinking a read only would be okay.

@hex I'd say for an alpha version, read only would be fine.
