      @udb23 I have 2 theories:

      • The one on the SNES mini is a different color
      • That border is only on the SNES mini and not the super famicom mini

        @lilbud Concerning dumped artwork: do you know the specs (pixel size, color depth and file format) for the game selection icons used in the GUI ?
        As it seems soon there will be to possibility to add more games I'd like to create the icons ("box art") to be used for some specific games I'd like to have on my mini SNES.

            @lilbud Thanks. Unfortunately it seems, apart Starfox2, there is no box art in that file.
            Wondering if the box art icons are separate files or even included in the ROM files (ClusterM mentioned ROMs are in WiiU format.)

              @udb23 I know the uncompressed (for lack of a better word) box art is on Nintendo's offical SNES Mini site.

                @lilbud OK, just checked how it works on the mini NES as I believe mini SNES will act the same.
                With mini NES it is hackchi2 that currently resizes all images to 204x140 or 140x204 pixels and uploads them to the mini NES in the proper format.

                    Here's something that might be of use to you, its the extracted "Pixel Perfect" borders from the Snes Mini, the previous ones we got hold of were just the 4:3

                        I find the emulation very accurate on the SNES classic, the slowdowns especially on games from the first year or so after launch were normal and present on the real system.

                        I find i'm better at playing the games on the SNES classic than a pi or other emulation because many of those emulators fixed or deal with the slowdowns and my mental timing in games like Ghouls and Ghost which I owned and played a lot on my SNES are based on how it originally behaved, I made it to the 4th level on the bloody thing something I haven't done since I was a teenager heh

                          Someone is actually porting the SNES Mini frontend to the Raspberry Pi

                            Holy crap! That is awesome! I was planning on eventually making my own custom retro gaming OS that had the feel of the Classic Edition Systems, but this helps a lot.

                            Don't sweat it.
                            When in doubt, take a BYTE out of life.

                            😎

                              @pokeengineer He has it running on the pi. But progress will be slow since he is working on this by himself.
