Hey guys. I followed the instructions of altering disc options yesterday. I loaded the game back as normal today however anytime I want to action into the ff in game menu screen the game crashes and I'm back to the main retropie menu.

Any ideas what's up and any help would be great.
      Cheers

@mitu I have the ultimate package, got it as an Xmas present. Great so far.

On psx I had been playing final fantasy 8.
I had issues yesterday changing from disc 1 to disc 2 but I followed several posts in the forum and I was able go into the quick menu and alter disc options.

That was fine, still able to save and load for a good few hours. However I've had issues today. I loaded the game up as normal select + L1 and continued with the game. Once the game prompted the player to access the menu to change the party for example. The same display message would come up similar to when you would exit a game select+start (grey message box appears) and I'm back into the PlayStation game list on retro pie.

After restarting the emulstation and then shutting down the system completely I've still got the same issues.

Being on the second disc I've put a lot of game hours into it already. So hopefully there's a solution to make it work.

Hope this helps a bit more in answering my query.

          Thanks in advance

@amused86 The fact that you have this "ultimate package" is a worry. Sounds like someone paid for it. If so, they have been scammed. Retropie is free to download. As @mitu said, you need to fill out the form that you agreed to fill out when you registered. Take a look back at your first post, you provide no information about which emulator you are using, which power supply, which image etc. This is why you were directed to https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Please revisit this link and pay attention to point 5. 3rd party illegally sold images are not supported. The best way forward is to format your card and start here.

I been spamming the FB page of the guys who sells the ultimate package, telling people not to buy / goto Retropie website / PM me for advice. He deletes them quick lol. I would go back to him and ask him to fix the problem bud.

@icomeinpeace thanks for the heads up. Like I said in previous post I received it as a Xmas gift. Pi Retro Gaming was the company. I'll see if I can contact them regarding the issue. As I was only looking for some advice with the specific issue I had and I haven't had any help yet. Thanks again

@amused86 You could try with the image from the RetroPie site, this way we'll be able to help you or at least start with a good baseline. I doubt you'll get much support from the gaming 'company'.
I know it sucks, especially since it's a gift and I bet it's a really good gift.

@amused86 Good luck dude. Its a great prezzy to get for sure :)

Could you pick up the rom / disks from elsewhere and replace the ones which you have on your box? worth a shot i guess.
