I am using a 16gig micro sd card. when i loaded retropie and got everything going i am only able o access less then 100 mb of it that i can see. i tried using raspi-config to expand it to give me space to load other things i need. (ie loading kernal for a lcd screen) i keep getting a -y error and not ale to find kernal after putting it on the card. i can only guess space issue. i have spent 2 weeks and redone retropie 4 times. what am i doing wrong?

How are you checking this ?
The RetroPie image automatically expands the usable space to the whole SD size on the first start, so you shouldn't need to manually expand again the filesystem.

One thing I learned is the retropie setup on Linux creates partitions on the sd card and Windows cannot see them.

If you wanted to format your card back to a format Windows can see (which would be the 16gb)

        No extra programs needed.

        Hope this helps
