      Please help... I'v been stuck on this problem for too long. Basically I have been trying to pair an NES30 Pro and FC30 Pro controller to my pi 3 so that I can play games on RetroPie and have had no success. I am running the latest version of RetroPie v3.8.1 and have tried a fresh install multiple times. However I think that I have isolated the problem. When retropie boots up and sets everything up it says 'Failed to start configure Bluetooth modems connected by UART' and I think this is why I cannot connect my controllers to the pi 3.

      I have tried again recently with the newest version of retropie (4.0) and am still experiencing the same problems. I also tried connecting to wifi and have had troubles also. i really don't know what to do.

      Please help me before I lose the will to live...]

        I am having exactly the same problems. I've trawled the internet with no luck... did you manage to fix your problem in the end? I'd love to know how if you did!
