    Hey,

So I had an idea for a theme, that I'm sure many people in the past have had as well. I love the look of steams interface, I'm sure it could be improved, but I quite enjoy it.

Anyway I made a prototype of what I think would be a simply amazing theme for RetroPie, if only everything I wanted to include was possible.

As far as I know, I actually haven't looked into it, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to really tie Retro Achievements into RetroPie. I would love popups like on Steam, which I'm sure could be implemented, and I feel is being worked on. But really what I would like it to have your game page show them.

Here is the prototype layout I made using my current set of systems based off Steam's interface, still things I need to add to fill in a few spots, but this is the general overall appearance:

    SteamPie

I can probably accomplish 90% of the layout right now (everything but the achievements basically), but the one major thing that would be missing is the unlocked/locked achievements and progress. If it was possible to pull that data somehow and update after closing a game like on Steam I think that would be amazing.

I'm not sure if anyone has any ideas if it's possible, but thought I would share my idea, maybe there is another Steam layout fan out there who may draw some interest from this.

@keigan You'd probably have a better time making this theme for Pegasus.

I mean, you'd have to call up your retroachivements account wouldn't you?

Here's the API, or at least a demo of it.

This looks awesome! If you ever go through with it I would like to formally request a 4:3 version so those of us the have built bartops in that ratio can use it. Options for 4:3 are lacking :(

I opted to skip on the Achievements for right now and am in the process of making this now. As all themes I've ever made, I'll give people the files and info if they care to make it a theme, but I manually create all my gamelist files and make all my own screen shots/start screens/sprite files, so unless you're going to take the time to do that, theme won't look good.

Here's a looping GIF of what it looks like so far. I've only grabbed 1/2 my SNES sprites so far and am using start screens for the screen shot until I get it fully set up and then I'll replace them with actual screen shots.

I think it came out pretty nicely, I may look into the Pegasus avenue, and need to really buckle down and improve any coding knowledge before I can even come close to my end goal.

            PiTheme

Things that I plan on fixing is the GAME INFO box, and the Title Box. I'll have them expand to the size of the text inside, but I don't believe there is a way to pad the edges, so I don't know how I'll like the look.
