Joycon controller as 1 controller?

Is there a way to get retropie to recognize the Nintendo switch joycons as 1 controller? I'm building a switchberry!!

I Have no idea how to set this up on the Retropie with EmulationStation..
If someone know how to set this up please tell us.

I've got the first twist on Nickell Andrew (riking) running.
When I start the Joy Con driver via an SSL-Shel it works fine.
But I do not manage to start the driver automatically at system startup.
