Everything was working fine until I starting using N64 roms. Now that is the only emulator that has sound. Thoughts on a what could be wrong?

@vdizzle12 That's a an old ES release - please provide the rest of the details about your system as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

Hi
I had the same problem with N64.
Assuming you are using the 3.5mm jack for sound output;
Find /opt/retropie/configs/n64/mupen64plus.cfg
and the line OUTPUT_PORT = 1
In my case I wanted sound from the 3.5mm jack, so changed this to a 0. It should be 1 for HDMI sound I believe.
After a reboot it should work. -
@metalhead Awesome thanks!
For some reason now the N64 is the only emulator to have sound. The main menu, snes, neogeo, etc are silent. Did you have that issue too?
-
Nope, only for the N64. I can't imagine how making that change would affect all emulators.
I will have a think for you... -
@metalhead I figured it out. For some reason the N64's volume level was way higher than all the other systems. So when I decreased the volume to 50%, I just couldn't hear the other emulators.
Such a dumb thing I overlooked.
Just had to adjust N64's config file.
Thanks for your help!
