      @herb_fargus, @BuZz

      I fixed the GameMaker ports so that it can run on Stretch. The new script for it is up on the wiki page and the pull request for it is live on @zerojay's repo.

      Don't sweat it.
      When in doubt, take a BYTE out of life.

        I get very scratchy sound with this image using the analogue 3.5 mm output. Especially in Attract Mode. Anyone else who have the same problem?

          Great job. Installed on B+ works great even mounting via usb only. Only concern is emulators that require bios files won't boot but I'm assuming that's still in the works. Other then that everything connects and works. Even a light overclock of 1500mhz.

            @vodkanakas All my games that require a bios still work. PS1, Segacd, Pc-Engine cd, Neogeo. I'm using a pi3 b+ at 1500mhz.

              @darksavior how did you get them to work. I just copied them from my B to my B+ and none load. Ps1 is unable to load bios but will run. The fds, Sega CD, pce CD and DC don't boot. Also tried factory settings with same result.

                @vodkanakas Absolutely nothing but putting the bios files in the same bios folder as before. I don't know what to tell you. Try updating the emulators and double check the bios files are in the bios folder.

                  I was hoping that someone might have created a version of this image for noobs. I have a pretty involved setup with multiple os'es but i just got a new b+. The other option is a guide to convert the image to a noobs compatible version. I do have pretty decent experience with linux.

                  The greatest part about all of this is that for the last 2 months I have been planning and getting together some money to buy and configure my inlaws a raspberry pi for libreelec and so i can maintain their network and other pc's more easily. Well i had decided on march 13th that i was going to make an order the next morning. WELL what a surprise i had when i woke up!!! lol So now they are going to get my last most recent pi and im upgrading my main unit to a b+. So im hping to be able to get going on setting up my new unit.

                    @ketterer If you have a NOOBS Raspbian Stretch install, then use the manual installation method instead of an NOOBS based image - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/

                      @vodkanakas you mention USB mounting. Do confirm that you brought the BIOS files over from the previous setup you had to RetroPie/BIOS. Those emulators and games do work.

                        @pjft well I can confirm that I did but I put them in the roms folder so it was /roms/BIOS lmao all fixed now. Works great.

                          Since Stretch is a stable Raspbian build, will updating this test setup be equal to having a final release once it's released or will there be some radical changes that cannot be updated via RP?

                              Seems to be an issue installing PS3 clone drivers also. Previously when you went to manage packages > drivers > ps3 & installed them, you could then "remove current configurations" which would uninstall the genuine ps3 controller drivers and allow you to install the shanwan clones, which would then work every time. (Have done this many times and easy to replicate)

                              Now after you install the ps3 drivers, if you go to remove configuration it uninstalls the whole ps3 driver selection option. (Have tried multiple times)

                              So basically, you can only install the clone drivers over the top of the original ps3 drivers which prevents the controllers connecting.

                                Is it possible to add the SkyScraper from @muldjord into future versions of RetroPie. There is a constant development of this tool since the last 9 month ... so there is a fair chance of future development. Maybe as optional package into the RetroPie-Setup?

                                  Just adding something I have struggled with
                                  Has anyone compiled lr-mame?

                                  I updated swap to 1024 and attempted.

                                  Getting this error,

                                    @auswear I also have issues on Stretch with Shanwan controllers.

                                    My solution is to use the new sixad drivers that are in a pull request on RetroPie-Setup github. But it always says PageTimeout and it takes like 2-3 times to initially pair them- but then it works great.

                                      Oops, 4.14.30 kernel from last update seems to have broken some things, including dualshock 3 drivers...
                                      edit : obviously not talking about the necessary remap, I had tons of ghost input, and the motion sensors are detected as a joystick.

                                        @sano In my case I have problems with the xpad-driver after the update:

                                            @sano +1 been noticing this as well. Took 2 clean installs to finally get one of my pads to pair. Lots of ghost input, and I can only pair 1 of 3 of my controllers.
