So, guys, I've installed p68k and lr-px68k and put all my .dim files inside the x68000 directory. Sure enough, I get the x68000 menu on Emulation Station but any game I try to run, it just goes black screen for a few secs and then back to ES. Obviously, the way I've set it up is not proper and it tries to run it but fails. So, anybody knows how to do this the right way?

    Many thx! :)

    EDIT:

I was just missing one of the bios files. Another problem though, after hitting F12 neither arrow keys or joystick work and I can make no change or new selection. That's for the libretro version. Regular px68k allows arrow keys, but I haven't found a way to quit the emulator and return to ES menu.

Have you been able to launch any games? I have never been able to get arrow keys or joystick to work in the main part of px68k or lr-px68k. In the past, I have had issues with mouse input in both px68k and lr-px68k. In px68k, I have had the mouse moving around the screen, while clicking had no effect. I soon realized that the black mouse pointer I was controlling was not the real mouse pointer, as there was a separate blue-tinted one stuck in the upper left. In lr-px68k I could move the mouse again, and I could tell it was the proper blue-tinted mouse pointer, but again, clicking on anything, game icon included, never did anything. As for the F12 menu, I swear I used to be able to move around in both px68k and lr-px68k with TAB, but that doesn't seem to be working right now.

EDIT: Just reinstalled both emulators. Still can't get move or select anything on the F12 menu in lr-px68k. In px68k, I can move up an down the left options list with the up and down arrow keys. Then I use enter to move to the right options list. I can then use the up and down arrow keys to select different choices for a value on the right side. I can then use ENTER to pick my choice or ESC to move back to the left options list. In order to quit px68k, I go to SYSTEM, hit ENTER, move with arrow keys until I see QUIT and hit ENTER. Unfortunately, mouse input problems I mentioned above are still there.

I really think we're in the same boat here :-/ I'll fiddle again with it and report back if any progress is made. Thx for confirming it's not just me though!

There is some trouble in latest version. Start the X68000 game and go to Retroarch menu Hotkey+X, then select Setting and Input and change Input User 1 Binds / User 1 Device Type to RetroKeyboard. Back, Back, Quick Menu, then Controls and change the User 1 Device Type back to Retro Pad. Then Back and Resume and the pad should work. The shame is that save does not help and you have to do it always when you start the game.

Any chance of having this issue rectified? The emulatorworks nicely, the Retropie interaction is OK but this thing (having to go to RetroArch config for every game you load to undo*-/do the controls) spoils the experience.

@Pyjamarama You can save your controller settings for that game or across the whole core. Those options are in the control menu in the hotkey+X retroArch menu, right above where you edit the control inputs.
