@duglor I think it is not working because the emulator does not do Midi and the text in this game as i have read says that is it piped thru midi. text rather than sound.

Note that this setting might slowdown the emulation for some systems. If this works to fix the core loading issues, then you should add this setting only in the respective systems' retroarch.cfg, i.e.

      /opt/retropie/configs/msx/retroarch.cfg /opt/retropie/configs/x68000/retroarch.cfg

while keeping the video_threaded="true" in the main configuration file to be applied to other systems.

Another thing you can try is to use the retroarch.cfg.rp-dist file instead and see if replacing the (long) retroarch.cfg with it would still make the bluemsx and px68k cores to crash.

@hhromic said in lr-px68k not build anymore:

      Update

So the upstream PR was accepted quite fast :) The build of lr-px68k is working fine now (just tested).

@DarishZone if you reverted the temporary fix to the RetroPie scriptmodule, you may try to recompile now and should work fine. If you are happy, you should mark the topic with [SOLVED] :)

      Good Luck!

More than happy, thanks for all the help u provide to the community (and mitu of course)

@fnkngrv Not sure if you are still having trouble but have you checked the /dev/shm/ folder for the runcommand log files? They usually give a good indication with libretro cores as to why things aren't working.

@mitu You were correct, thanks. Updating Retropie (and RetroArch) worked. Lr-px68k works as it should.

I'm busy copying across various manually installed emulators and then I'll turn to the Final Burn Alpha romset.....

@supercatfooz Update: I just found an HDF file that seems to work fine, making the two .dim files I have obsolete. I'd still like to know if multi-disk mounting is possible for the future, though! (plus it'll help whoever else happens to have this problem)

@Pyjamarama You can save your controller settings for that game or across the whole core. Those options are in the control menu in the hotkey+X retroArch menu, right above where you edit the control inputs.

That's a shame. I was hoping it was something I could fix on my own. I do love my Japanese computers. I'm glad to see that an official Retropie guide for the PC-88 emulator showed up within the past few months at least.
