-
@chris419 If you're just starting, re-write the RetroPie image to the sd-card again and start over.
-
@mitu. Do i have to redo the usb drive to or is that ok i couldnt get it to transfer the roms at all n had problems geting the file names to the usb from retropie
-
@chris419 I'm sorry, maybe I misunderstood - what's the actual problem ? The USB drive or RetroPie not loading when you start your PI ?
-

It might help to nail down the specific information requested at https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Along with the rest of the information, take care to note what method it was you used to transfer the files. For instance, did you use the automatic or manual process documented here?
-
@mediamogul. Yes this is the exact prossece i used.
-
@chris419. After sudo line code to move fretropie to usb. Nothing worked line code wise
-
@chris419 You don't need to move anything. If you used the automatic method, the proper folders will be created automatically and you'll be able to see them on the PC.
From what's you're saying, did you try the manual method ? -
@mitu automatic method didnt do anything the usb didnt transfrer n after 3 hrs im sure thr 4.6 gs would have done it n yyes i went thre manual thats how retropie got sent to my usb
-
@chris419 sudo mv -v/home/pi/retropie/* /media/usb0/
-
@chris419 In Linux, the commands, as well as filenames, are case-sensitive. So copy and paste the command from the docs AS IS:
# correct command sudo mv -v /home/pi/RetroPie/* /media/usb0/ # wrong command # sudo mv -v/home/pi/retropie/* /media/usb0/
If this gives an error, then please paste the error here so we can take a look.
-
@mitu. Ok i did this properly thats why it was moved to the usb. Uuid is where im haveing problems once i get to the step after the command i posted. The commands dont work
-
@chris419 im just gonna take it to my couzins n have him flash it with lenix n directly put the roms on the sd card thanks for the time but none of u guys helped at all

My brother lives a block over and has been promising to bring my sling blade back for over a month. It's such a nice day out, I think I'll walk over there and borrow it back.
