Errors on launching Roms

    While launching Roms on PC running ubuntu. When i go to launch a Rom it comes up with the following error
    lvl0: Could not parse Settings file!
    No document element found.

    Also it won't let me change default emulator for Arcade Games

    Please help

        Im running a PC with ubuntu16.04 LTS.
        Dual core processor, 4gb ram, 250gb hdd with around 60gb of roms on.

        I installed retropie manually using the guide. Ive done this many times before on many PCs in the house.
        Never ran into this problem at all

          @dnbarnes1983 This is a support site for RetroPie, not a general emulation support site. In order to be of help, you have to offer more information - 'Roms not launching' is pretty vague and the error you reference is not from an emulator, but from Emulationstation.

            Isn't EmulationStation the front end for retropie? Some of the rooms are loading and some not. the ones that do load usually have a black screen after a few seconds but all the sound is still there.

              @dnbarnes1983 Emulationstation is a general game launcher frontend - it's also used by Recalbox. You didn't specify in any of your posts you have RetroPie installed and which version.
