Just wondering if anyone has any experience with putting Background music and video splashes on the ubuntu 16.04 builds or if they could have any advice? I have the music working on the Rpi3, but never seemed to get it working on ubuntu.

Also, if anyone is familiar with the bezel project? FBA bezels work find, but all the other systems (SNES, NES, MAME) use the generic bezels and not game specific.

      Thanks.

      (Hardware is NUC NUC7i3bnh 8gb)

The method introduced by @synack should work flawless.

@cyperghost Didn't seem to work. There was no autostart.sh, runcommand-onend.sh, and runcommand-onstart.sh in /opt/retropie/configs/all on this build.

I tried creating them, but emulation station seems to ignore it? Is there somewhere else an autoscript exists on ubuntu builds?

Got it working--used rpie startup script under ubuntu's unity startup applications for the code to start omxplayer instead of autostart.sh before it starts es. runcommand/onstart/end work fine.

@zipeee2 @cyperghost dear both, I am in the same situation as Zipee, however, it is unclear how he could solve this issue.
I have made the same as him (autostart.sh, runcommand-onend.sh, and runcommand-onstart.sh) but without any effect.
Zipee said that he was able to lauch "retropie startup script" (I know retropie setup script, not startup scrip) under ubuntu, and he said that he could start omxplayer, while I can't install it (I have tried but it seems that it omxplayer is only for raspbian, not ubuntu).
Do you have any idea please ?
                Thank you so much.

@prog-amateur I would also like to know the steps taken to add BGM to RetroPie. This would be a great feature to be added
