EmulationStation - Scraped data not being saved for newer consoles?
-
I am using this particular build of EmulationStation for Windows, the latest build, and while the data scraping feature works for all systems, the scraper does not seem to save scraped game information for any systems that are newer than the Sega Dreamcast.
For example, I have three Nintendo Wii games on my current EmulationStation setup. Of the three games that get their information scraped, one of them (Geometry Wars Galaxies) will retain its information when I quit EmulationStation, while the other two (Super Smash Bros. Brawl and TMNT Smash-Up) will lose their information when I quit EmulationStation. The other two games are able to get their information scraped, and will retain it for as long as EmulationStation remains open for that session, but once I quit the application, then start it back up again, those two games lose their information. What's odd is that the cover boxart is still present and the gamelist.xml file retains the information that was scraped for these two games, but this information does not show up whilst in EmulationStation, and I have to scrape these two games again to get the information to display.
The same thing happens with PlayStation 2 games. I have a random assortment of them, and after scraping information for all of them, a select few will experience the same symptoms as described above; the data scraper will successfully scrape information and download boxart, and EmulationStation will display the boxart/information for as long as it remains open for the current session, but once I quit the application, then some games don't display their information nor boxart. Once again, the boxart images are still present in their appropriate folder and the gamelist.xml file for the PlayStation 2 platform still retains information for those games that don't display it in EmulationStation.
I was wondering if this is a bug that is universal to all updated builds/forks of EmulationStation, even those on the Raspberry Pi and outside of Windows as well, or is there some config issue here? I have looked for all possible forum posts relating to this issue but I have not found anything. The directories for these platforms are not marked as Read-Only on Windows; I verified to make sure that the directories had all proper permissions set.
Thanks for reading and I appreciate any replies.

Are those games/roms larger than 2Gb ? If yes, you might have stumbled upon a bug in Emulationstation that doesn't correctly list those files. A fix is pending and should be incorporated soon.

@mitu Those files are well over 2GB. Thank you for the quick reply. I look forward to the next update.

@87th-e You should get the latest Emulationstation for Windows and see if the problem is solved.
