Mame2003 Vector_width & Vector_height ?

Hi, Mame2003 in which file I can set the following?
vector_width=640
vector_height=480 -
@mha If you're asking this to play vector games I would suggest to use advmame for that.

I get very bad picture in AdvMame for Tempest.
CRT monitor connected trough composite.
In Mame4All i got the best quality & found those settings in Mame4All settings.
Would like to give it a try in MAme2003, but dont Mame-Libretro, where all my other games are & all controllers are cofigured & working fine.Do You have a cue, where to put thoose lines in Libretro?

@mha in the core options file, but not in the format you have listed. the file is
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg
search for vector-resolution-multiplier.
however i think the settings you have are the default. there was a time when higher settings would cause crashes, but there was some work done on this some months ago. experiment!

@mha - This link may help. A while back I was doing a comparison between mame2003-plus and AdvMAME with settings and screenshots using Tempest. I used official MAME 0.78 for a "baseline".
AdvMAME has the better support, followed by mame2003-plus. I also tested the official MAME 0.78 source on Windows and it falls somewhere between AdvMAME and Plus. I think official MAME 0.78 is acceptable but AdvMAME's lines are narrower and smoother for sure.
If one thing could be changed from looking at it running for a while I would say beam width. It's value is a float but it states 1 or higher. It would help significantly to get that beam narrower.
The bounty was recently raised to $250 for correcting vector games in mame2003.

It does work well in AdvMAME. If it helps here's a list of required ROMs with hash.

All those roms was included. There was also file 136002-125.n4 inside the zip.
Should I remove that? -

Should I remove that?It may be removed but it won't hurt anything either. It's not part of this set. It looks like you're using ROMs from a later version of MAME. Also it should be named gravitar.zip unless you prefer a clone. What program are you using to check your hash values?

I just checked rom names manually inside the zip...
Removed that extra file and it did boot properly :)So now it´s fine.

Removed that extra file and it did boot properly :)Good deal, I can't explain it but glad it's working. Correctly named ROMs are mostly irrelevant. You could rename the 10 needed gravitar ROMs similar to below and it would still run fine. If there's an extraneous ROM in the zip archive it's ignored. I am not quite sure why removing it made a difference.

It's this same concept that allows you to combine all the neogeo.zip BIOS ROMs from say mame2003, mame2003-plus and FBA into a single archive. Basically it allows you to run any game from those cores using a single neogeo.zip.
