      Bruh

Didn't think I'd wake up to this. Now all we need is a new Wild Arms or a remake (pretty please?)

Finally... we all knew that this will happen sooner or later...
I am a little bit disappointed that the gamepad does come without analog sticks. There are games which needs 2 of them, Ape Escape comes to my mind and racing games also benefit from analog sticks or someone just prefers to play certain games with analog stick, when it is optional. Does it use standard psx controller connection? It looks like, but probably it is much smaller and just a regular USB connection? Would be cool if the current PS4 wireless gamepads would be compatible.

20 games is just ridiculous low like the SNES Mini. There are too many games missing, its not possible to cover the most important games with this limitation. I have currently 51 PSX games installed and thats only because of "low" storage capacity. Maybe Sony does what Nintendont and Chrono Trigger will be integrated. ;-)

@thelostsoul the controller ports are USB ports, so luckily they will work with ps4 controllers.

Also, I give it a week before it is hacked, the creator of the SNES mini hack is going to attempt a version for the ps1 mini.

            AC Adapter not included?! WTF?

@obsidianspider Nintendo don't include an AC adapter too, which is a shame for a console.

@thelostsoul It's a great move from Sony..as retro gaming is very popular at the moment. But there is not much to see here for Retropie enthusiasts: A very limited amount of games and gamepads without thumbsticks. On my Pi I've enabled both dpad and thumbstick control for all games..so I can use whatever I prefer..i wouldnt want to go back to dpad control for many games.

Didn't expect Wild arms to be on there..wasn't really a popular game..I did love it though! But not as much as Squaresoft games , or Alundra or Breath of fire III.

I have 65 ps1 games on my Pi..dont need more, but couldnt dismiss a single game either.

Pi 3B , 64 GB Sandisk ultra flashdrive, 19 systems, 872 hand picked classic gaming gems :-) Dual shock 4v2

Here in Germany Wild Arms was popular, even more than Alundra I would say. I wonder if there will be different selection of games for the regions, like SNES Mini. I am so curious about which games will be included.

I find it odd that they haven't disclosed the full list yet. Surely if they had titles like tomb raider, gran turismo and crash bandicoot on there, they would want to sing and dance about it.

So many of the best games on the Playstation were third party, so I am going to guess they are still working some stuff out. Seems strange that would be the case though if you are announcing it right now for release in three months...

@ballboff Could be a strategy...they will be in the news again every time they announce other games..build the hype train

Yeah i've had a look at some of the companies that made their games, and all the sony ones would probably be on there such as syphon filter, crash bandicoot and maybe gran turismo could be good shouts. But they might see that as being a conflict of interests since they have new versions of GT. Crash bandicoot is available on the ps1 downloads from psn, so that could be well high up on the list. Games like metal gear solid and tomb raider might be more tricky. Twisted metal was another one that sony did I think. Tbh though with a system such as this whatever titles you put on it, will be top quality. What a system!

As for the price, I think they've got that right on the money. Slightly more than the snes classic upon release, but a slightly newer console, so it figures. PS1 isn't that easy to emulate either, so there's none of this "you can build one yourself" sort of nonsense we got with the snes classic. Releasing just before christmas too, nice move sony, very nice move! I'm excited :)

Sony lost the rights to Crash Bandicoot and Spyro some time back so they aren't considered first party titles anymore.

@livefastcyyoung I fear the same could happen with the N64 Classic Mini, no Rare games! Imagine a N64 Classic Mini without Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Diddy Kong Racing. Games, which defined the system.

@thelostsoul well, they have Mario64. MarioKart64, StarFox64, Zelda - Ocrina of Time & Majoras Mask....
Of course the Titles you mentioned will be hardly missed, but that Lineup above will get a lot of people buy the N64 Mini IMO.

Each time a company launches one of these I expect them to follow it up with more efforts to close down rom sites. It makes sense for them to do so.
