@DarishZone thanks for testing. Can you be more specific on what exactly is happening? Can you paste the error log of the crash? Renaming the folder shouldn't crash ES (it doesn't on my side).
Maybe is better if you start from scratch by removing the
scummvmfolder from the subfoldersdownloaded_imagesandgamelistsinside/opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation. This will wipe any currently downloaded images/videos and the metadata for scummvm games. Then you can scrape again and test.Thanks for the quick response!
I'm not using the internal scraper, i use skrapernet client for roms scraping, it uses screenscraperfr servers and it saves xmls and media on system roms folder, not emulationstation.
So all my media are on roms/scummvm
The error is:Assertion 'mtype == FOLDER failed
I'm afraid skraper not like so much the fact es is tricked to treat a folder like an executable file, just guessing. -

Yes the assert seems to indicate that the scraper doesn't like directories as roms. Unfortunately this is something that must be addressed by the scraper, not the scriptmodule.
However, what you can do is temporarily create dummy.svmfiles for the scraper to find, without the game directories there, then scrape these files. Of course, the files should be named properly as you would name the game directories. Afterwards, delete these dummy files and put the game directories in place with the same names as the dummies. Should work hopefully :) -
I finally figured it out!
Turns out my mac text editor saved as rtf even though it looked and behaved as a svm file. Finally took the autogenerated file from the default scummvm core and changed name on them, and threw them in their game folder, and it fuuuu**in works! :D -

Paths need to be modified, i hope that could helps ppl who use it!

I just spent a few hours playing The Dig with wife :)
Tested monkey island too.
So far this core and scriptmodule work great.

My favourites are Maniac mansion (and DotT), monkey island and Discworld (I'm a hardcore Pratchett fan, RIP).
But Sam & Max, Full Throttle, space quest and Leisure Suit Larry are not so bad either ;)
So many new good games to play on my Pi ! -
@Sano make sure to try the CRT-based shaders! Now that scummvm can run under RetroArch. I can totally recommend the
zfast-crtshader for that old PC monitor feel. -

Same here. I always loved adventures and when i saw the test for Discworld 1 in a videogame magazin, it said that it would be wise to know the books. So I started reading them, and I love all of them. It's so sad that Terry died. But I actually just bought 3 audiobooks from him a few hours ago and I also spend some money on an Logitech MX Ergo and now I can enjoy ScummVM on my Tablet with proper mouse control. yay

@hhromic You should, there are some weird puzzles but it's okay. And I still need to finish Discworld Noir someday.
PS: I lied, I only bought 2 Discworld audiobooks, the third one was from Douglas Adams or I should say Eoin Colfer who released the last Hitchhiker book. :D

@hhromic I actually don't know who that is, but yeah I googled Douglas Adams a few weeks ago and saw on wikipedia that Douglas Adams widow allowed to finish the last book in 2009.

@EctoOne @hhromic If you're somewhat interested in sci-fi, I hope you have read the "long earth" serie, from Pratchett and Baxter. If not, please do, it's excellent IMHO.
Pratchett humor and humanity combined with Baxter rigorous hard science fiction, that makes a great mix.

@Sano I don't know, I have 5 audiobooks (I switched from reading a long time ago) of the Long Earth series, but I've only listend to the first one yet. I couldn't really get into it.

I figured out why I had no mouse. I noticed other Retroarch cores had no mouse either, so I started looking at settings, and retroarch config. I erased all lines pertaining to input, and the mouse worked again. I couldn't narrow it down to exactly what caused the issue. I ended up abandoning my old crowded Retroarch.cfg and using the clean one from the RetroPie. Happy New Year!

I want to update emulator from Emulation Station setup, but it seems is not possible to complete installation, also tried to uninstall and reinstall but installation stil not complete, any suggestions?

takes a lot of time to rpi install this core hope works fine, i have one game that works weird with the default scummvm

@DarishZone I have a wired 250 mb line, and the download & build of the lr-scummvm core took a lo-oong time. Did you get any messages / errors?
