New overlay: Depth Charge
-
Depth Charge was one of the first, if not the absolute first , arcade game I put coins in and played as a kid.
It looks very basic both in terms of gameplay and graphics for nowadays standards but it's still fun to me to play
... we should consider it's a 1977 game !!
It has really nice artwork on the cabinet but it's so old that no decent images can be found on the web.
Steve, a collector from Colorado, was so kind to take specific pictures for me of his original arcade cab.
These allowed me to create the overlay.Download available now in the Overlay Repository.
Have fun ! -
The original game was B&W only so the blueish color was obtained with blue plexiplass placed in front of the CRT.
Two overlay images are therefore included: with transparent blue game area (for lr-mame2003) and without.
Lr-mame2010 is actually generating the blue color of the game internally so it would be best to play; unfortunately in mame2010 aspect ratio seems wrong ( @dankcushions is there anything you can do ?).Samples are required to have sound in this game and you may also have to configure buttons properly.

Sorry for the necropost, but I just installed this ROM, and can't figure out how to set up the Start button in Retroarch. There's no setting for it. Coin, Button 1, Button 2, Left and Right. I guess the game is supposed to start when you enter a coin, but pressing the coin button doesn't work. :(

@Mebejedi this rom is not different from any other concerning start.
What core are you using? What controller ? To be able to support more info is needed. -
@Mebejedi Welcome to the forum.
It would be better to start a new thread about this because your problem has nothing to do with the overlay that this thread is about.
No matter what, you should provide the information that is asked for in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
