Am I extracting my ROMS wrong?

I'm trying to put my ROMs on my PI but I've come across the issue of them extracting (I'm using 7-Zip) in a way that differs from every video tutorial I've watched. When I extract them each .zip creates its own folder and has a few more files than what I can use for the system. Some of the folders have .ccd and .sub, some have just the .img file, very few have the .bin files and only one or two have the .cue file.

Question is, simply, can I just move each disks folder over (Multi-Disk games have a folder for each individual disk)? Or do I have to use a different program to extract the .zip?

@RoutineInsanity could do with a bit more info mate, like which emulator and details of your setup as well. There's a Read This First post that details what you should provide when asking for assistance so people know what your setup is like and can help better.

I've followed the Wiki and watched a ton of YouTube videos, taking exactly the same steps they take, but I can't get them to extract the same way.

@RoutineInsanity I'm not saying you haven't, still need more information on what your setup is and which emulator you're using though. If you don't provide as much info as possible, you're not gonna get any help around here.

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ for PSX. Plan on going for more systems but going to focus on PlayStation right now.

You need to copy just the individual files - not the folders - to the ROMs folder from where you extracted them. However, make sure that the file extenstions are what the system expects - see the PS1 emulator page.
PS1 images come in all sorts and sizes, but as a rule of thumb

.img and .iso images are ok
.bin files are fine, as long as they have a .cue file accompanying them
.ccd files are not supported

So, in an effort to avoid the tedious measure of having to open every single file folder and move the required document, I just moved all the folders over and the system only loads the files that it can play. Only difference in the way I did it and moving each file individually is that all of my multi-disk games have their own folder now. System doesn't even register the CCD files.
