Could not find any simliar track to the SNES Mini background music. For a music going in that direction, I would look into home town tracks in role play / adventure games. Maybe puzzle games could fit into it well too. But I would go for something more personal. Listening to these tracks alone get me goosebumps. Here is an excellent list of tracks.

[0:22] Streets of Rage 2, "Opening Theme"
[18:49] Ecco: The Tides of Time, "Title Theme"

@paffley You also could look for music of the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive demoscene. Some examples:

(The actual music of the last video begins at 0:51.)

Just search for "sega mega drive genesis demoscene" on YouTube, but be prepared to see many demos without good music to find the few good ones. ;)

i'd suggest looking around zophar's domain it has tracks for most games.

I just stumbled upon this one. It's comprised of many in-game sound effects and may be good as a menu background music. :)

@Clyde Nice! I remember this when I was searching for custom video intro. Thats a really good and unique bg music alternative.

I'm curious, did you finally find a track that you liked? If so, which one?

Hey @Clyde Yeh I opted for this one, works well with my personal sega theme/build for the megapi case -

                    What ya think?

Nice! It sounds very charateristic, while being not too intrusive. It's a great background tune. 👍

@Stuart2773 Although I'm not @paffley, I like this one very much, too. Its lightheartedness reminds me strongly of the background music from the SNES Classic Mini.

It's literally the music from the NES Classic mini, remixed a bit.

@mitu Ah yes, I could have read this in the video's description. ;)

After listening to the NES Classic Menu Theme for a while, I started thinking what it would be like if it were for a SEGA Genesis title. So, I went to work this morning to make a Genesis version of the theme, along with some cool references to other SEGA titles.

Hey guys, yes I like that one too thanks @Stuart2773 but it sounds too much like the snes classic menu as I have the original on my Nintendo build already. I do like the one @Clyde posted but only like the start of it, I might have a play and crop and loop before it all starts going crazy haha.
