      Hello,

I have updated all the package of a Retropie image and now, when i click on "Retropie-setup", i don't access to an old DOS interface like before but a new modern interface ask for a login and a password, but i don't know them ?

After the massive update, on reboot, the automatic login/pass was broken and to activate it again, i was asked to do "sudo apt-get install lighdm", and after this installation, the new interface was there.

Also, do you know how to desactivate a video intro ? Does intro video play in parallel of boot ?

@onosendai The proper solution to the update asking your for user/password is to log in and activate the auto-login again (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#why-emulationstation-doesnt-start-automatically-after-an-update) and not installing lightdm.

As for the other stuff - please provide the info requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

I want to erase lighdm but can't access to the console anymore, i tried F4, i've also tried to quit ES, but then i finish in front of a Xsession login/mdp and i don't know what do do.

Do you know how to ask console from the beginning before ES auto loading ?

            Found it !

On the Xsession prompt do CTRL+ALT+F1 to access terminal, then "sudo apt-get remove lightdm" and everything is back as normal
