Re: Can't SSH (even though enabled)

I bought an arcade cabinet and want to SSH into the pi to add some of my ROMS but am unable to get the Pi to show an IP. I am unable to connect a keyboard and the Pi is not set up on any network. How can I use WinSCP or Putty if I am not on WiFi and can't use a keyboard on the Pi? I have tried using "retropie" as the address but get an error there is no host. please advise

We don't support 3rd party images, especially the ones sold with the hardware - against the RetroPie project's license. Ask the seller/vendor for support, or rip out the Pi and install the image from the download page - then follow the instructions from the Docs.

Completely useless information... I already stated I'm not able to plug in a keyboard so the link/instructions there do me no good. The image is from the RetroPie site

If you aren’t on any network there is no SSH. The only option to add ROMs is via USB memory, but since you can’t plug in a keyboard to set up WiFi, I assume you don’t have access to the USB ports.

Thx. this did the trick. I had to pull the arcade apart and plug in the network directly.
