      I was going to reply to the below thread but it asked if i wanted to create a new topic.

      Re: Any way to show TurboGrafx 16 instead of PC Engine?

      I have created the 'platforms.cfg' file and i have one line in it pcengine_theme="tg16" The file is in /opt/retropie/configs/all/
      I updated the setup script and updated the lr-beetle-pce-fast, lr-beetle-supergrafx cores, rebooted and it still stays on PC Engine.

      Is this working with the latest update?

      EDIT - I am running 4.5.2

        I think that you need to re-install of the PC-Engine emulators so that the change is applied to Emulationstation's config.

          @mitu Thank you for replying. I removed the two packages, and then installed from binary, rebooted and no change.
          Did I do that correctly?

            The thread you linked to mentions two lines:

            pcengine_theme="tg16"
            pcengine_platform="tg16"

                  Yeah the wiki says to just change the one line - https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/PC-Engine
                  But i did try both and no luck.

                  Do you need to update via binary or source?

                  EDIT - OK the only way i got it to work was to change the es_systems.cfg in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/ and change the pc engine theme to tg16, rebooted and now working. Although from what i have read this will get removed when i update.

                    @showstopper no that location will not be overwritten. You will have to manually update that file from now on if you add new systems to emulation station.
