One systems sample videos aren't playing
-
I've scraped all of my ROMs. I have sample videos playing for them when I go into the various systems' menus. The only problem I have is with PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16. When I go into that system, the video windows are all solid black and no video is displayed. The audio is there, so I can hear the video. There just isn't anything displayed. And it is only for that one system. I didn't do anything different for that one. I copied my media files over just like I did all the others, but I have no idea why this one system isn't displaying videos correctly.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Any ideas?
Thanks.

@bfollowell What video player option are you using in Emulationstation ?
omxplayer
, the HW accelerated option, has issues with some videos. If you switch off the hw accelerated video, do the videos play ok ? -
Something else to add. Actually, the videos do work. I just wasn't waiting long enough. There's about a five to six second delay before the video starts playing. Every other system is pretty much instantaneous. As you scroll down the list of games, there's a five second delay where the little screen is blank and the audio is playing, then the video starts. It does this for every TurboGrafx-16 title, but no others. It's very strange how it's only that one system.

I just put the media files in the individual ROMs folders, along with my gamelist.xml file, and the videos showed up and started playing. So, whatever player RetroPie uses by default, and however it is setup.
Actually, before I submitted this, I decided to go and check. I found OMX Player (HW Accelerated) listed under the Main Menu under Other Settings. This was off. I turned it on, and the videos for TG16 start much faster now. There is still a slight delay, but only about a second. I still have no idea why it's only this one system that exhibits this behavior, but I'm happy with it now.
