Guys.. I brought an USB-retro SNES controller a couple of weeks ago, and i figured out after some testing that IF i want to play other games than nes/snes i might need to buy a better controller, That didnt go so well playing PSX games with a SNES controller :) however i do not want to make the same mistake twice so i wonder if anybody give me a suggestion on a specific type of gamepad that are compatible with NES, SNES, Dreamcast, N64, PSP, PSX and GAMECUBE

      Thanks in advance

@webbsmurfen personally I use a wired ‘Pdp’ brand (£15 in Argos assuming you live in the uk) Xbox one controller which for me didn’t need any additional drivers installed (as a bonus can be used on a windows 10 pc). This controller works on all the console games and most of the keyboard based ones with a little bit of tweaking in their emulators (ie XX spectrum). I hope this helps.

A Playstation/Xbox type controller - having 2 joysticks - would cover all those systems. Take a look at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#default-core-controls-for-all-emulators to see how buttons are mapped for each system's controller.
