Hello, I’m back with more questions.

I have an arcade1up cabinet and I have joystick 1 and 2 obviously plugged into the respective 1 and 2 player ports. I also have a flush mount USB output plugged into the other ports. I have this so I can plug up a controller and sit on my couch and play final fantasy.

The issue here is that the psx games will only work with whatever controller is plugged into the player 1 USB port.

Is there anyway I can change the controller order in the software instead of having to physically change the cables every time?

Ok I think I figured it out. It has something to do with typing a bunch of nonsensical stuff in some command line and installing this or that in order to get a option to come up in the retropie menu. Since I will never be able to accomplish this, I’ll just keep switching the dang usb cables.

For reference it is something along the line of joystick setup or joystick configuration as an option in the main retropie menu. I’ll see if I can find the page i was reading and I’ll paste it here.

      Edit:
      Here it is.

Of course I couldn’t do it, but I’m sure everyone else on the planet can.

I don't know much about two player, but try pulling the plug, then plugging it back in without controllers. You'll get to the configure screen. Configure your second controller if it is unconfigured then press any button on your player 1 controller to get to Emulation Station. I don't know but theoretically it should work fine.
