UAE are essentially configuration files that you can set up for each game.
Once in Amiberry you should open the menu, create and save an uae configuration file for each game, then you can launch directly the uae file. There are also options to create standard configurations for Amiga 500, 1200, CD32, CDTV, etc. These default configurations are usually fine for most games.
Among the other options you can set up the controls (for Alien Breed 3D2) and the iso file for the CD32 (for Gloom).

@shavecat Thanks. I looked through the settings you provided and changed the CPU settings to 68030 + 68882 with JIT. The game works fine now, thanks.

It seems that the copy of Ultimate Gloom I have is an installer disk that needs an HDD to install the game onto. I have no idea how to set that up via Amiberry.

@George-Spiggott Hey George, I've managed to get Alien Breed 3D 2 working at an acceptable level by enabling the 'fast copper' setting and in the CPU settings selecting either turbo or fastest setting in Amiberry. I was unable to get the Ultimate Gloom ISO files that I located to work, maybe you and I have the same ISO? Never the less I located another version in .zip format, I think from an Amiga FPS History page that covered all sorts of wonderful reading about FPS games on the Amiga and Gloom mods. Ultimate Gloom is also referred to as Gloom 3 zombie edition sometimes too. I believe the author made public domain in 2013.

@George-Spiggott Control wise I think I had to choose my PS3 controller in the 'input' setting of Port 1 in the Amiberry menu too and then in 'custom controls' I had to choose PS3 controller in 'input' device'.

Thanks @aidy80-s. I have already solved all my problems with AB3D2 thanks to @shavecat.

Most of my WHDLoad/.LHA controls problems have been solved by changing the to Playstation 3/CD32 pad in port 1. There must be a way to force Amiberry to do this for all games.

I may have a crack at getting Ultimate Gloom to work this weekend. In the mean time I have discovered Fears. The CD32 version runs well on Amiberry.

@shavecat Thanks. I solved my Gloom problem, Ultimate Gloom (AKA Gloom 3 Zombie Edition) isn't even the game I wanted in the end. The game I wanted was Gloom Deluxe. I now have an .ADF version of this game. Sadly there seem to be no WHDLoad or CD32 version in existence.

Really dont know i have an image pi 3 amiga .
That i just copy all of is amiga folder and config opt amiga and sort it to work with my official retropie .
Got to many amiga games haha

But its booting from Workbench Screen Then i get Glood setup Utility (If it helps maybe)

@shavecat Thanks. However that may be dangerous talk round these parts. This game's source code is available for free on Github. I'm not sure what that actually means legally in regard to redistribution.

Also I'm running this game with a simulated 030 with maths co-processor on fastest CPU settings (more than 25mhz) with 4MB if RAM. I have to wonder how much it would have cost to run an Amiga that would run this game full screen, full speed back when it was released.

To bring this thread to its full conclusion I finally got round to modifying my copy of Gloom Deluxe.

I made an HD floppy disk image file and used Workbench to copy the contents of both disks to this file. I then modified the s/startup-sequence file to boot straight into the game without loading the setup program. I used ED from the AmigaDOS Shell to do this.

I now have a single disk version of Gloom Deluxe that works perfectly.
