I have a Raspberry Pi 4 B model with Raspbian as the OS flashed to a micro sd card. (Hi end card) Emulator Station is what is playing my emulators. When I select a emulator within Emulation Station to launch a game I'm trying to rid the short moment of the OS desktop that is displaying. I also get the short moment when I end the game as its booting back into my emulator list. I have "Launching Images" package from experimental packages downloaded and running. "Launching Images" is operating but the short moment of the OS desktop is still displaying when I launch a game, and also when I end the game. I've also tried to go into Configuration-Tools/Runcommand options to tweak around on those but I cant seem to get the OS desktop to completely disappear when launching and ending games. Any advice helps and Im thankful. Directions to the correct placement for my questions would be much appreciated also. Please advise.

*****Found my problem for both issues. I needed to set the pi to boot directly into Emulationstation instead of it booting directly into the OS desktop. No more Emulationstation load display or OS desktop flashes. My pi now boots with no rainbow splash, text scroll, pi logo's or Emulationstation splash. Any questions or concerns let me know.

You're using an unsupported installation method, that's why you're having problems. I guess you've been installing based on a certain outdated and wrong youtube video.
