@theissdev to make things clear, what i want to know is : is there a way to get your spinner to do something when set to classic or modern device type ? If it does, i should be able to quickly implement something for you, otherwise i think it'll be much harder.

@barbudreadmon Ya, I'm not sure. I initially walked the device index trying to get it to do something prior to figuring out it was recognized if i switched to the mouse mode.

I haven't had a chance to mess w/ it today. Could very well be how it's wired on the opti-pac or something. All the other emus seem fine w/ how it is. Warlords (mame2003+) for instance picks up spinners 1 and 2 appropriately. The trackball acts as input 1 as well (simulataneously so left-right can be done on both spinner 1 and the trackball w/o changing anything). I set those up via the mouse_index i believe.

Don't spend too much time w/ me. I was just hoping there was a secret switch/line in the config I could add to turn off autocenter. I'll play around w/ it and see if I can figure out some configuration to get the spinners recognized outside of mouse mode.

        Appreciate your help and time!

I don't mind, having proper spinner support would be great.

            Hello,

Is there a way to lock down a Neo-Geo system overlay for Neo-Geo only? I think I tried to save a Neo-Geo overlay and it did it for FBNeo as a core. I have Neo-Geo arcade games as a separate system on my Retropie.

@GreenHawk84 You need to save a Content Dir preset, instead of a Core preset. Or edit the retroarch.cfg for the neogeo system and add the overlay configuration there.

Hey guys, I'm setting up a fresh Retropie installation and this time I'd love to get into some arcade gaming. But FBA and MAME both confuse the hell of me. As of today, which FBA set is the go-to one?

There's only one - as the title of this topic says. If you want to get started with arcade emulation - look in the Docs, there's an entire section dedicated to it.

                      Hi

Does anyone have a good no clone 1g1r dat for fbneo? I've got the latest set of unmerged ROMs but would like to filter out all the clones and Japanese quiz games etc. I did attempt doing this myself but with over 6000 titles it was going to take forever.

There was a link on these forums to an older version of a dat someone had made but the links dead now.

                      Cheers

Has anyone else noticed issues with "DoDonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou" lately?
I updated FB Neo from source a couple of days ago to test the new additions (Crazy War, Wyvern Wings, Silkroad 2, Mr.Dig,...) and now "DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou" does not start anymore :/
Has the supported romset been changed?

EDIT: ok, i just found some postings in Dink´s Dev-Thread concerning this game, it got a redump. So it is time again for hunting the right romset.

@sirhenrythe5th I got a romset dated from april 14th and it still won't load. I even threw in every version of ddpdoj*.zip. It might not have the updated set or it requires a parent rom that's not named that.

@sirhenrythe5th Here we go. I ran retroarch on my pc to get a log file. It now requires a new parent called ddp3.zip. I use the black label rom and now it loads fine.

@Darksavior just to clarify: i have to look for a "ddp3.zip" parent with 30+MB, right?
I had some of those "ddp3.zip" files yesterday, but they were clones with about 755kB :)
Thank you for these hints @Darksavior, much appreciated!

@sirhenrythe5th Yes, ddp3.zip~17.78MB is the parent. It 's in the romset dated 4-14. I use ddpdojblk.zip ~1.48MB with the parent rom to run the black label version.

Thought fbneo deserves its own logo for EmulationStation:

                                      fbneo_system_logo.jpg

Created a new fba system vector logo based on the image shown in the (official ?) fbneo's twitter.

@barbudreadmon Just wanted to follow up here on the spinner centering issue. I tried rewiring the opti-pac in several configurations and ultimately reverted back to the original.

Then, I swapped out the 3B+ w/ the 4 after the official release. Noticed the spinner was no longer working, but also that the mouse indexes switched from 0/2 to 1/3. Booted up powerdrift and lo-and-behold, it's no longer centering.

No clue what fixed it (4.6, 0->1 mouse index, or what). I copied the configs from the 3B+ over to the 4, but I may have wiped the fbneo config later.

Anyhoo... just wanted to let you know it's working. Thanks again for your help!
