      Pi Model: 4b (4gb)
      Power Supply used: official PSU
      RetroPie Version Used 4.6 beta
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
      USB Devices connected: dualshock 4
      Controller used: dulashock 4
      Error messages received: none
Guide used: psx docs on RP website and the guide for ps1 setup on github
      Emulator: lr-pcsx-rearmed

I just cant get the psx icon to show up on emulation station, ive tried different types of roms, .bin & .cue included. and also .pbp files for a total of 7 games

i have the correct scph1001.bin bios in the bios folder. i tried reinstalling the emulator.

i have read the docs and believe that i have followed the setup correctly.

      what could my problem be?
      any help greatly appreciated

Can you show a listing of the psx ROM folder ? How did you copy the files on the Pi ? Did you restart EmulationStation after copying the files ?

files copied over SSH - just like i did for my NES roms which are working. i restarted emulation station after each transfer, even tried restarting my pi

Are you using a custom es_systems.cfg?

I've not altered that file, so just the default version.

Do you change the 'Parse Metadata only' in EmulationStation to 'On' ? The files look ok, the folder looks ok, unless you have another retropie system on your network, they should show up. The PS1 emulator is installed and configured by default on the RetroPIe image, so there's no need to re-install it.

@mitu @bandicoot88 I am having the same problem. What are the steps to set the 'Parse Metadata only' in EmulationStation to 'off' on my pie4. I am fairly new to this. Please and thank you.

@psant By default, this option is unset, so unless you turn it on, you shouldn't have this problem. How did you install RetroPie ?

Press Start on your controller and choose Other Settings. There you are.
