      Hi all,

I've just installed RetroPie 4.6 on my Pi 4, and I'm really impressed with the Dreamcast emulation via ReDream. One thing is slightly confusing me, though. Games play OK-ish in 1080P, and really quite well in 720P. Soul Calibur and Virtua Tennis run really smoothly in 640x480 (and I'm not someone who's bothered by low resolution), but for some reason when I put Redream into 640x480 mode via the in-game menu, the aspect ratio is all wrong - the image looks really stretched. Even if I set the in-game aspect ratio to 4:3, it looks stretched, and if I set it to 16:9 it looks even worse.

I can't work out how to correct this. Any ideas? There must be some option somewhere I'm not setting correctly, but I have no idea what. Grateful for any help received, thanks.

The "window size" in redream when full screen is the resolution the monitor is configured to use. If you're using a non-4:3 monitor that supports being set to 640x480, the image will be stretched. To have the correct aspect ratio you'll want to use a "window size" with the same aspect ratio as your display.

@inolen thanks - your post made me realise that I could just put the TV into 4:3 mode, rather than try and make ReDream correct the aspect ratio somehow. Doh! Will try that.
