If I have run an Atari 800 title, when I try to run a 5200 title, it is necessary to go into the emulator options and change the system type to 5200, and vice versa. Is there any way for the system type to be saved based on the content directory?

      Thanks

you can set core options per rom: see https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/RetroArch-Core-Options#setting-core-options

Oh, well I thought I was missing something since there is the ability to save controller settings per content directory, so I hoped emulation settings could be configured similarly. I guess it would be less painful to create the settings for the 5200 roms vs the more numerous 800 content. Thanks!

@dankcushions Here are the 100 core option files I made for the 5200 content I have. These are the .opt text files only.

            Core option files for 5200.zip

I put them in \RETROPIE\configs\all\retroarch\config\Atari800\ and so far I think it's working although I haven't tested all of them.

            Cheers
