      Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 2019 Quad Core 64 Bit WiFi Bluetooth (4GB)
      Power Supply used: The one included here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087TZ1XKZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.6
      Built From: Pre-made SD Image on RetroPie website
      USB Devices connected: USB keyboard
      Controller used: Hori turbografx controller
      Error messages received: None
      Emulator: Tried both lr-beetle-pce-fast and lr-beetle-supergrafx

      So basically whenever I try to launch any TurboGrafx games I simply just get a black screen. It'll show my controller in the ports but that's about it. I've put the SYSCARD3.PCE file in both the bios folder and rom folders. I've also tried the US SYS3.PCE bios with no luck. This issue only happens with the TurboGrafx; N64, PSX, SNES, 32X, Genesis, and NES all work perfectly fine.

      I'm pretty new to retropie so any help is appreciated!

        @Con_fused what format are your ROMs? Can you run a game with verbose logging turned on then post the log located at /dev/shm/runcommand.log

          @quicksilver Roms are in .pce. He's what I got from the command.log (Dunno if I did it right tbh lol)

          Parameters:
          Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/Ir-beetle-pce-fast/mednafen_pce_fast_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/pcengine/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/pcengine/Blazing Lazers (USA).pce" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg
          unhandled setting F: pce_fast.mouse_sensitivity

            @Con_fused When starting the game, use the Runcommand launch menu to toggle verbose logging in /dev/shm/runcommand.log. Post the file on pastebin.com, since it will be quite large.

                @Con_fused There's not error from the emulator, but I think you might have a bad ROM (at least for Blazing Lazers). Are you able to run the game in another emulator/system with this ROM ?

                  @mitu Yup ROM seems to load just fine on retroarch on my PC, I'm using the beetle pce fast core.

                    I can't seem to reproduce this on my end. I'm using a verified (no-intro) .pce file, with these checksums:

                    $ md5sum Blazing\ Lazers\ \(USA\).pce
                    > 3c2f85fc7898de73a7c789033d22b8f5  Blazing Lazers (USA).pce
                    $ crc32 Blazing\ Lazers\ \(USA\).pce
                    b4a1b0f6

                    The game loads fine with both cores (lr-beetle-pce-fast or lr-beetle-supergrafx).

                    Can you try to re-copy the pcengine ROMs to your Pi system ?

                      @mitu Gave it a shot, no dice. It feels like the ROMs are loading in but just not displaying video, since I'm still able to use select and start to exit.

                        I wonder if you're not getting the same issue as https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/26955. Did you reset your RetroArch's configuration for this system (pcengine) ? Can you try resetting the configuration file for it ? The retroarch.cfg in /opt/retropie/configs/pcengine should be contain just

                          @mitu That didn't seem to work unfortunately. BUT after getting another batch of ROMs I was able to get them working! Not sure what was happening with the other ROMs since they worked on my PC but these ones seem to work fine. Hopefully I don't have any further issues.

                          Thank you for the help!
