Amiberry WHDLoad - saving individual joystick configurations for games?

Using SnesDev & Monster JoystickHi,
I've been tearing my hair out trying to work this out. I know it's possible to save individual game configurations in Amiberry but I can't seem to work it out. Any change I make seems to change for every game. I'm sure this is something really obvious, but please can someone explain how I save an individual button configuration in a WHDLoad game using the Amiberry UI?

If you press F12 you get to the config screen.
Choose the settings you want for the game.
Save a config file with the default name (same as the file name for the disk file).
There is a checkbox on the page for disk drives, saying something like "Automatically load config files with the same name as disk".
I think that will load your settings next time you load the game. -
@crumbs Thanks, so does the saved config file have to be the same name as the rom?

@matp I think so. Sorry I can't provide a difinite answer, I have had some success and some head scratching with this.

@matp yes from memory it has to match the names of the WHD Load title

With Retropie 4.6, I found there was only few things to do:
- You need to find the kick rom files on the net and put them in your RetroPie\BIOS folder.
- Install Amiberry from Retropie Setup in Emulation Station
- Copy your games into the RetroPie\Roms\Amiga folder as unzipped .adf files (1)
That's basically it, it works really well.
I thought you could also put all the .adf files for a game into a single zip, but that seems to have problems..

Well, after that I came across a few games that refused to load and I was certain they were working before. I managed to fix them by doing two things:

Retropie Setup > Manage Packages > Optional Packages > Amiberry > Update Amiberry form source

Run a game > Press F12 > Paths > Rescan Paths
Not sure if I needed to do both, but now .lha files work, and single game .zip files containing all .adf disk files seem to work too.

Some zips work perfectly, others have to be disk swapped, and some don't work at all.
So just stick to WHD load .lha games that contain the full set of disk files.
