Can screen orientation be edited for specific games?

Hello all, I'm planning out an arcade coffee table and I'm completely new to Raspberry Pi and emulators. I would like 2 sets of controls on opposite sides of the monitor but I'm realizing players 3 and 4 will be playing upside down. Is it possible to rotate the views of players 3 and 4 only during a game like Mario Kart for example, or should I count on controllers being limited to one side of the table?

It depends on the software, emulator, setup. It CAN be done with RetroPie/EmulationStation/Retroarch. I have no idea what software you're using so it may or may not be possible for you. The software is almost a necessity here.
People can't really help if you don't provide more information.

@iandaemon I was considering this kit: https://www.amazon.com/V-Kits-Raspberry-Arcade-Classic-Gamepads/dp/B07CC86PR3/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=retropie&qid=1607715223&sr=8-5
Like I said, I'm still in the planning stages so I don't have software yet. What would you recommend for this setup?

@edant92 Why buy game pads that you won't use and a case you won't see? (based on your diagram) RetroPie is free so buying a kit that includes it doesn't save you anything.
"Also Includes 8GB Flash Drive Preoaded with Named folders For easy Game Transfers" - Aside from the misspelling, the folder creation is done automatically so they're not saving you anything here either.
I get that you want a "turn-key" solution, but this seems kinda wasteful. You're probably getting the cheapest components possible to maximize their profit. That's just my two cents anyway.

Well, RetroPie with EmulationStation and Retroarch can do what you want. Changing the screen attributes "per-game" is all in Retroarch's configs and shaders.
I put together a "thin cocktail cabinet" with one control panel on each side. I used an inexpensive HDMI television for the monitor running off a RPi 3B+. I bought cheap sticks and buttons from Amazon and hooked it all up. RetroPie, EmulationStation and Retroarch fit together so nicely and easily. The cool part is learning a tad of Linux which comes in super handy when you want to tweak things in the future and will make you look like a genius.
(Honestly when buy a "complete package deal" help is harder to find. You'd be surprised; putting some effort into it really "opens doors". People will come out of the woodwork to help a fellow hobbyist.)

According to your diagram, if you swapped where P2 and P3 stood then you can have the same shader on all the games and things would be "smoother" with the video orientation being same for all games.
