Sinden Lightgun Stops Responding after update

- Sinden Test Image (based on 4.7.1) and just configured for retroarch devices -- known as BBv6
Hello all! ... I have what is either going to be simple or a needle in a haystack.
I recently got the SINDEN LightGun, and it worked -- until I ran a retropi update. Note: The Sinden firmware is 1.5 and there is no additional update to that version during the update process. . At that point I can
evtest
and see the trigger, but the mouse movement just seems no longer work.If I
cat /dev/input/mouse0
before the update I can see the mouse jibberish from the motion detection while its working. After the update, it works for a second then something appears to fall over.Im thinking something got introduced during the update that is causing a conflict, but without knowing what changed and how that could impact the Sinden Software Im not sure where else to poke at
Any one either experience this with a mouse or the Sinden and have any leads?

What/how did you update? Did you update the retropie setup script or did you update the underlying OS?
-
@quicksilver Ran the update via the RetroPi menu/dialog box
-
@icebear81 In addition to the RetroPie setup and scripts being updated, did you also chose to update the OS - it's a prompt that's shown when you run the update ?
-
@mitu yep -- it did a full blown .. took a good hour via compiling
-
@icebear81 If it worked prior to the update, maybe try reinstalling the Sinden driver if you haven't already. If that doesn't help, you might want to raise an issue in the Sinden Discord server, since it could be a software compatibility issue.

@g30ff the drive is just a script that boots a service, but yep tried that ... and also working with Sinden too .. but since this was such a needle, was hoping there was some known mouse issues lingering that could help me pinpoint a resultion
THANKS !!!
