no sound emulation

so i read the wiki on sound issues and i tried forcing hdmi in /boot/config.txt and i confirmed that the line is there. but when ever i try anything there is n sound what so ever. no sound in game or in the game menus or on the desktop. I had sound on my 3.7 image but on my 4.0.2 image and on my new pi3 it doesn't work.

It it helps I have a keyboard and an iPac plugged in. Both Libero and mame4all don't have sound . The roms have sound , I tested on open emu . So any ideas?

You have misspelt
hdmi_drivein the config. Uncomment the correctly spelt line earlier in the file. -
wow, lol. i spent 2 weeks of off and on work on this and it was just a typo
