Skyscraper not found in directory

Hi all, having an issue scraping for my roms on my Pi Zero. Before I would just use Skyscraper and it would all scrape fine but now it's saying things like "not enough threads" and said I should register with screenscraper.fr which I have. Whenever I type in the "/home/USER/.skyscraper/config.ini" it would bring me to a screen but at the bottom say "Skyscraper directory not found" or words to that effect. I think I managed to get to the correct screen via the Advanced options on the Skyscraper config page but when I type my registered Screenscraper details in the "Username:Password" bit and run Skyscraper again it just gives the same servers are busy messages and doesn't scrape anything. Apologies for any gaps in this. I have scoured previous entries on the forum to find what I'm doing wrong but could only get snippets. Do I need to support Screenscraper financially now to get any games vids etc? Please help

@hawkes_84 : Hi. See SkyScraper's own documentation, as stated here: https://github.com/muldjord/skyscraper/blob/master/docs/CONFIGINI.md and look for the header: userCreds="<CREDENTIALS or KEY>".

There it states exactly where what entry you need to modify of what file and where it's located (/home/USER/.skyscraper/config.ini).

@mrpacman17 thanks. I actually sorted it however I'm still getting no scrapes because I have so few threads

@hawkes_84 How many if I may ask? I myself did a donation, mentioned my account and a day later I had about six threads. And of course, I added my account in the ini file.

@mrpacman17 it continues. I managed to get my 6 threads after donating and it was scraping fine until it got to generating my games list. It went smooth for a bit but then crashed and i had to flash the Retropie image from scratch which was quite annoying. Once I flashed the image and copied over my roms I thought I'd give it another but now it's saying "User is allowed 6 threads, but user has set it manually, so ignoring"! Not sure what this is referring to but once again it wont scrape anything for my roms. Set what manually? Any idea what this is?

@hawkes_84 Post your configuration file for Skyscraper, omitting the user and pass.

@mitu ah so I need to manually type in "6" for this to happen? Sorry I'm lost when it comes to all this. Will try it thanks!

@mitu thanks that seems to have worked but it won't get the videos. When scraping it gives the message "CACHE OUTPUT, Video Conversion Failed (Set Higher Verbosity N' level for more info)
Is this something I can tweak?

You've enabled video conversion, but the command is probably failing - do you have ffmpeg installed ? Did you copy/paste the configuration from somewhere else ? - the default configuration doesn't have this enabled.

@mitu hmmm not to my knowledge no. I don't even know what ffmpeg is so can't imagine I've installed it from anywhere. This is a fresh Retropie burn from today too so haven't really tweaked anything except the Skyscraper config file mentioned earlier. On the Skyscraper menu I've changed the "Download Videos" option to "enabled" because I thought that might fix it. Also I've turned the OMX player thing on because I seem to remember that being the issue before (a while ago) but other than that I don't know.

@hawkes_84 If by 'tweaking' you mean you un-commented all the lines, then I think you did more than it was needed. Use the default config.ini that comes with Skyscraper and un-comment just the lines with the user/pass for ScreenScraper.

@mitu yes in this case "tweaking" does refer to uncommenting all the lines which I read was necessary when doing this. I'll re-comment them and see what happens . Thanks!
