Pi Model or other hardware: 4 - 2GB
Power Supply used: Original Pi PSU
    RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.12
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: PS3 controller & usb keyboard
    Controller used: PS3 controller OEM
Guide used: Docs Ps3 Controller guide

Hi, I've been trying to connect my PS3 Controller by Bluetooth, but it just doesn't work. I've tried installing sixaxis driver and ps3 controller driver, (one first, then the other to avoid problems) but when I try to pair, it says pair completed and just doesn't work. Despite it says it paired, it doesn't show in the paired devices. As additional information, I tried to connect a BT dongle, and it connects just for 5 seconds or so, and then disconnects by itself. When I try to connect the controller to the PC, it doesn't work neither, I've tried different drivers, i thought the problem was the controller but it connected to the raspberry via USB BT dongle for those 5 seconds each time.
    Any idea? :(

Make sure you have the latest OS/packages - you can choose to update them them when updating RetroPie itself - and reboot after the updates have been applied
      .
Install the sixaxis driver (if not already installed) and follow the steps in https://retropie.org.uk/docs/PS3-Controller/#using-the-retropie-setup-gui-to-configure-the-ps3-controller-bluetooth-connection-for-sixaxis to pair it. You'll need a cable to do the pairing, the PS3 has an non-standard pairing process.

@mitu I updated Retropie Setup and the packages, and reinstalled sixaxis driver, and it didn't work :/. I use the cable to do the steps following the guide. I think it could be the controller itself, as it was OEM version maybe that could be the problem

@misfitz There have been some recent (yesterday even) updates for the Pi's Bluetooth setup in Raspberry Pi OS - when did you last update ?

@mitu I updated when I saw your message here, 5 minutes before I posted my reply here. It took a while updating, but my controller doesn't work neither in my PC or raspberry :/
