Neo Geo Roms wont start

PS4 Controller connected via bluetooth

i have been trying to get the neo geo roms to start but having no luck, i load the game and immediately returns to back to es. i have tried several neogeo.zip bios and im not sure what to do i put the bios into fbneo and even into the neogeo rom folder and same result. i have also tried multiple neo geo rom versions as well

it sounds like you need to have a read of https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Arcade/ which will show you need a specific numbered romset version that includes both the rom in question, and bios, specific to the emulator you're using. trying random versions will not work.

you also should supply the verbose log as per https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first, although it will almost certainly just be a 'missing files' error caused by wrong romset version.

@dankcushions just found the correct version, from my understanding since im using the lr fbneo emulator i need FB Neo v1.0.0.XX roms but i downloaded several different ones and no luck, will provide the log in a moment

@kingcosmuder that’s an incomplete log. you’re missing the beginning and the end. seems like a snippet from the middle.

that’s said, it looks like you’re missing the neogeo bios (must be from right romset ver)
