      Re:

Hello I've been tinkering with retropie for a while now. I have my arcade almost done but there is a problem. I have a two player controller with joystick and buttons. But they have the same name which means that the Pi sees it as one controller. I need help please. I can't seem to know what to do. I config both of them and they work in the menu but when I want to play a game the buttons switch and stay like that after leaving the game. I have tried to "mask" one of them with the xboxdrv directory, but its taking to long for it to load and I left it for 1 day and it was still loading. I am also thinkning of using the following direcrtory to change the name or something,
      /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig
some other guy had the same problem but he went into the same directory and it poped up in his
but I can't seem to find it there at all. Can someone help me please?

      Thank you
      RetroEddie

Please add some details about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
If you have 2 identical gamepads/controllers, then you only need to configure one of them.

but when I want to play a game the buttons switch and stay like that after leaving the game

This may happen when using an USB encoder where the 2nd player is wired differently than the 1st.

@retroeddie said in I can't seem to find my config. controller in the following directory (/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig):

Add a modicum of info about your setup: what Pi model, power supply, what image did you use, what RetroPie version you have, what controller(s) are you using, etc.
